Elbow Scoring ....
All Rottweilers in the UK that are used for Breeding should be Elbow scored
The B.V.A ( BRITISH VETERINARY ASSOCIATION ) award your elbow score from radiographs ( x-rays ) taken by a B.V.A. VET
The lower the score, the less evidence of Elbow Dysplasia present
The Elbows are scored right side max of 3 and left side max of 3.The score is not added together like in hips, so if you have a dog with a left elbow of 0 and a right elbow of 3,Its the highest score thats used so the ED score would be 3. 3 is the maximum score and the BVA reccomend only dogs with 0 or 1 elbows should be bred from.
