In January 2007 we mated Faith to Fredie, we were evry excite at the prospect of this Litter , so Faith was scanned and confirmed to be carrying a small litter , On the 13th March 2008, Faiths labour started, after 50 minutes of hard pushing from Faith we decided to get her to the vet, On examination the vet could feel a puppy stuck in the birth canal, he said he coould remove it but would almost cetainly kill it doing so, but that would save the others behind. We knew there wouldn't be many in this litter so we didnt want to risk any of them so we decided on a Cesarian Section.
We stayed with Faith throughout this procedure, and the first puppy out was the very large Male that was stuck. The next and only puppy left was a little girl, but unfortunatley in her desperate attempt to get past the puppy that was stuck her placenta detached and she died .
So we had a singleton puppy.
We took him home and he thrived although it would have been sensible to find this puppy a lovely home he very quickly stole my heart , so we named him "Solo" and decided he was going nowhere.
Solo has done very well in the show ring for us, but more importantly he is a lovely boy with a fantastic nature. He will be continued to be shown as he matures, he does have his own page now but below are a selection of pictures of him from birth.
We will at some point repeat this mating so watch this space ......
